Fibrous Papule Treatments
We provide our clients with revolutionary and highly effective CO2 laser Fibrous Papule Removal and one of few centers in UK who specialise into removing Fibrous Papule.
What are Fibrous Papule?
Fibrous Papule, are skin coloured moles which are generally seen around the nose and commonly on the tip of the nose but sometimes at the other parts of the face. It may be related to the ageing; however, its cause is not exactly known. These fibrous papules are generally harmless but for cosmetic reasons, they can be annoying, especially in the central face or on or around the nose especially for those who care for their looks and appearances.
Sometimes, they may appear slightly pinkish rather than skin coloured due to feeding blood vessels in them and they are another type of fibrous papule.
Those people who have fibrous papules on their face, they are generally conscious about them and hence there is some amount of temptations or desire to get rid of them completely for cosmetic reason. “They can be best left untreated as there is no risk of cancer arising from these unwanted skin bumps”, says Dr Jha.
How these are Treated?
If you are considering to get them removed then there are two common ways to remove these: Shave excision – This procedure is commonly available everywhere across the country and is usually considered to be a standard form of treatment for fibrous papules; however, they do not always give the best cosmetic results. And the advantage of this method of treatment is that the tissue can be obtained for biopsy.
Another way of removing the fibrous papules are CO2 laser vaporisation.
What is CO2 Laser Vaporisation?
This is an expensive way to remove a fibrous papule or other similar skin blemishes but the final outcome of CO2 laser vaporisation is generally much superior to shave excision especially from the cosmetic point of view.
Owing to the high cost of this gadgetry co2 laser vaporisation is not widely available in U.K. and in actual fact, only handful centres are able to offer CO2 Laser vaporisation of such lesions or moles but we suggest you explore into this by yourself. The advantage of laser technology is that the biopsy sample is safely obtained using a sharp shaving device and the remaining stump is finally treated with laser giving the best cosmetic final results. After the procedure is done, there will be slight redness at the treated area but generally without any pain or discomfort.
